Planet Mozart and His Satellites

Join us to welcome back Lynne Plummer with another absorbing presentation. Why is it we hear lots about Mozart and frankly hardly anything about all the other composers working hard around him at the time? Lynne Plummer is convinced it’s because Wolfgang’s tyrannical father, Leopold, was so good at pushing his son and daughter into the public eye that many other brilliant musicians didn’t stand much of a chance. Lynne will present the evidence in her talk on October 9th with the help of her usual array of interviews and lots of lovely music by people whose careers ran parallel with Mozart’s or who even collaborated with him. Several of them are household names, but by no means all. Prepare for some good surprises.
