The Czech conductor Rafael Kubelik was loved by the orchestras he worked with for his musical ability and his treatment of musicians. However he lived through some of the most traumatic events of the 20th Century in Central Europe and when he moved to the West faced hostility and prejudice. Join us on Wednesday 27 March to hear club member Kevin Menzies recount Kubelik's story with examples of him conducting music with which he was especially associated.
